Online booking is back

Thank you all for your patience whilst we move our system over and upgrade our online booking. The new system is now up and running and can be accessed through our website and social media same as before.

The online booking will open to a log in page. If you enter your email you will be prompted to create or reset your password. If you’re asked to reset your password it just means we already have your email address. Nothing to worry about!

From there you can choose your services. As always colour services must have a follow up service either a blow dry or a cut and style. You must have had a colour service or patch test with us in salon within the last 6 months to be able to have a colouring service.

Once you select your appointment you can choose which stylist you would like or you can select to have anyone available.

You will be taken to the next screen to choose your date and time for your appointment and choose one that works for you. After this you can choose to leave a message for the salon. This is key for any details you would like us to know about your appointment before hand.

We require a 25% deposit for all appointments booked online. However you also have the option to pay your appointment balance in full online. Payments taken go directly on to your account with us on the salon computer to be redeemed when you’re in.

If you have any questions or challenges with the new online booking system please let us know so we can assist you and make any necessary adjustments.

Balayage vs highlights

Balayage and highlights are two popular hair coloring techniques that can add dimension and depth to your hair. While both techniques involve adding lighter pieces to the hair, there are some key differences that set them apart. We'll explore the differences between balayage and highlights and help you decide which technique is right for you.

What is Balayage?

Balayage is a French word that means "to sweep." This technique involves sweeping or painting the hair with color in a way that creates a natural-looking, sun-kissed effect. Balayage is typically applied freehand, without the use of foils, and is typically focused on the mid-lengths and ends of the hair. The result is a soft, natural-looking gradient of color that blends seamlessly into your natural hair color.

One of the benefits of balayage is that it requires less maintenance than traditional highlights, as the color is applied in a way that mimics how the sun would naturally lighten the hair. Balayage also allows for more customization and flexibility, as the stylist can choose where to place the color to create the desired effect.

What are Highlights?

Highlights, on the other hand, involve applying color to small sections of the hair using foils. The color is typically applied from the roots to the ends, and the result is a more uniform, all-over color. Highlights can be used to create a variety of effects, from subtle and natural-looking to bold and dramatic.

One of the benefits of highlights is that they can add more dimension and depth to the hair than balayage. This is because the color is applied all over the hair, rather than just on the mid-lengths and ends. Highlights can also be used to create a more dramatic contrast between light and dark shades.

Balayage vs. Highlights: Which is Right for You?

When deciding between balayage and highlights, it's important to consider your personal style and preferences. If you're looking for a natural-looking, low-maintenance color that will blend seamlessly into your natural hair, balayage may be the way to go. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more dramatic change or want to add more dimension and depth to your hair, highlights may be a better choice.

Finally, it's important to consider your budget and maintenance preferences. Balayage typically requires less maintenance than highlights, as the color is applied in a more natural-looking way. However, it can also be more expensive upfront, as it requires more skill and technique to apply.

In conclusion, both balayage and highlights are great options for adding dimension and depth to your hair. The key is to choose the technique that best fits your personal style, hair type, and maintenance preferences. Whether you choose balayage, highlights, or a combination of both, one of our highly skilled stylist can help you achieve the perfect look for you.
