Sam began his hairdressing career in 1985. In 2007, he founded SO Hair, proudly building the salon from the ground up with a vision of creating a space centred around creativity, education, and exceptional client experiences.

Passionate about the future of hairdressing, Sam is committed to developing the next generation of talented stylists and helping to keep the industry thriving. He believes that education, mentorship, and continuous learning are essential to nurturing creative hairdressers and maintaining the high standards that define the profession.

Sam loves all aspects of haircutting, from timeless precision cuts to bespoke, creative styles tailored to each individual. His approach combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of what works for each client, ensuring every cut is both personal and wearable.

As the founder of SO Hair, Sam is incredibly proud of what the salon has become. What started as a vision in 2007 has grown into a talented, award-winning team built on years of hard work, dedication, and a shared commitment to excellence. He continues to be inspired by the people around him and remains focused on supporting both the team and the salon's future growth.

OZ

Oz has been part of the salon since 2008 and became Director of SO in 2018. With a passion for both hairdressing and business development, he has played a key role in shaping the salon into the successful and talented team it is today.

Specialising in cutting, Oz is passionate about helping clients achieve the very best from their hair. He believes that great hair should not only suit a person's features but also complement their lifestyle and daily routine. His approach focuses on creating looks that are both beautiful and practical, ensuring clients can recreate and enjoy their style long after leaving the salon.

Throughout his career, Oz has received significant industry recognition for his creative and technical expertise. He won the UK Goldwell Color Zoom competition in both 2012 and 2013, representing the UK at the global finals on both occasions. In 2017, he also won the Southern Region of the prestigious L'Oréal Colour Trophy, further cementing his reputation within the industry.

As Director, Oz's vision extends beyond hair alone. He is passionate about creating an experience-driven environment where clients can enjoy more than just a salon appointment. By incorporating elements of wellness, self-care, and exceptional customer service, his goal is to continually evolve SO into a space where people feel relaxed, valued, and inspired. Alongside this, he remains committed to nurturing and developing a talented team, helping each member reach their full potential while driving the business forward.

DEBBIE

Debbie has been part of the salon since it first opened its doors in 2007, making her one of the longest-standing and most experienced members of the team. With nearly two decades at SO and a wealth of industry education behind her, Debbie brings a depth of knowledge and expertise that her clients truly value.

Known for her confident personality and honest approach, Debbie is passionate about helping clients achieve hair they love while maintaining realistic expectations. She takes immense pride in her work and is committed to ensuring every client leaves the salon feeling happy, confident, and well looked after.

She has a particular passion for grey blending, helping clients transition seamlessly, enhance natural tones, or embrace their grey hair in a way that feels modern, flattering, and low maintenance.

Her combination of experience, technical knowledge, and genuine care for her clients has earned her a loyal following and made her a valued part of the salon team since day one.

ANNABEL

Annabel has been a valued member of the salon team since 2014 and qualified as a Hair Stylist in 2016. As a Master Colourist, she is passionate about continually developing her expertise and sharing her knowledge with the rest of the team, helping to inspire and educate the next generation of stylists.

Known for her honest and professional approach, she will always provide realistic advice on what is achievable while working with her clients to create beautiful, personalised & transformative results. She is particularly passionate about maintaining the health and condition of the hair, believing that great colour starts with healthy hair.

Annabel has worked behind the scenes at both London Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week, contributing to runway looks alongside some of the industry's leading professionals. She has also achieved outstanding success in the prestigious Goldwell Creative Colour competition, earning a place in the UK & Ireland's Top 5 finalists in 2022, and UK & Ireland 2nd Place Silver Award in 2023!

ALICE

Alice has been part of the salon team since 2017 and brings over a decade of industry experience, having qualified as a Hair Stylist in 2011. Known for her vibrant personality and signature bright-coloured hair, Alice has a true passion for creative colour work and loves helping clients express their individuality through bold, unique looks.

Her creativity and technical skill have earned her the trust of many loyal clients, who often give her free rein to create something completely bespoke. Alice thrives on transforming ideas into stunning results and loves surprising clients with colour combinations they may never have considered themselves.

Alice's talent has also been recognised on a national and international level. After winning a prestigious Goldwell Creative Colour competition in the UK & Ireland, she went on to represent the UK in the global finals in Chicago, showcasing her work alongside some of the industry's most talented colourists from around the world.

Passionate, artistic, and always pushing creative boundaries, Alice is dedicated to creating hair that is as individual as the person wearing it.

ISABEL

Isabel has been a valued member of the salon team since 2016 and qualified as a Hair Stylist in 2018.
She takes great pride in her appearance and loves expressing her personality through fashion, whether she's in the salon or dressing up for the weekend! Friendly and outgoing, Isabel enjoys getting to know her clients and building lasting relationships with everyone who sits in her chair.

As a qualified Master Colourist, Isabel has a passion for creating bespoke blonde transformations, carefully tailoring each colour service to suit her clients' individual features, style, and lifestyle.

She is also a specialist in Zen Hair Extensions, helping clients achieve added length, volume, and confidence through personalised extension services.

Passionate about making people feel their very best, Isabel combines her technical expertise with a warm and welcoming approach, ensuring every client leaves the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and beautiful.

RUBY

Ruby has been part of the salon team since 2021 and qualified as a Hair Stylist in 2023.
With her calm and relaxed approach, she creates a comfortable experience for every client, taking the time to understand their hair goals and lifestyle.

Known for her honest advice and keen eye for detail, Ruby excels at recommending the most suitable cuts and colours to complement each individual. She has a particular love for lived-in colour and creating soft, natural-looking results that are effortless, flattering, and easy to maintain.

Ruby believes great hair should not only look beautiful in the salon but also work for clients long after they leave. She is also passionate about showcasing her work and takes great pride in capturing the perfect photo of each finished look for the salon's social media.

Her dedication to both her craft and her clients ensures every appointment is tailored, professional, and enjoyable.

LACEY

Lacey has been a valued member of the salon team since 2023 and qualified as a Hair Stylist in 2025.
Known for her bubbly personality and warm smile, she brings positive energy to the salon and loves helping clients feel relaxed and confident during their appointments.

Passionate about creating beautiful, natural-looking hair, Lacey particularly enjoys crafting soft balayages and achieving voluminous, bouncy blow-dries.

She also plays an important role behind the scenes, helping to create engaging content for the salon's social media channels.
